What is a Medicare EPC Plan?
Medicare EPC stands for Enhanced Primary Care, a program that allows patients to access specialised care with a portion of the costs covered by the Australian Government. This system is in place to make it easier and more affordable for patients to see specialists such as physiotherapists, podiatrists, occupational therapists, or other allied health professionals.
Eligibility: Your GP must assess your condition and determine that specialist care would benefit you. If so, they will issue a referral. You can then use this referral to consult with a Medicare-accredited specialist.
